So I’ve decided to have this feature on the ol’ blog where I take one of the funnier photo sessions from the week (we take gazillions of photos out of both boredom and amusement) and subject you all to it! Sounds grand, huh? Yeah, well I figure this way I’ll at least be obligated to post once a week and be motivated to take more interesting pictures. And yes, I absolutely need this kind of motivation in my life…I think.
The subject of this week’s photo session of choice also happens to be my favorite new decoration in my apartment. Remember that one post where I tried to clean out my closet? Well, while cleaning, I found this blanket my high school English teacher gave me for graduation (I was her best pupil and all…I saw her a few weeks ago at my Dad’s birthday shindig and she seemed to quickly deduce that I’m not really trying on the writing front out of fear of failing–hey, it’s fairly obvious to anyone I’d imagine–and seemed vaguely disappointed in me and it all made me feel more shitty than I already feel about it). And it was a funny blanket about my home town and home county. So Eric decided to hang it up in the living room because the walls were pretty plain (I went into debt during college buying all of these amazing foreign versions of movie posters, most of which are carefully rolled up in my closet because I’ve never really had the energy to hang them in this apartment…which I’ve been in for almost two years…damn it! This blog is really bringing me down) and it’s been an amazing decorating decision. It’s fun as hell to pose in front of it; I swear I’ve never been more fierce.
So, anyway, for your consideration:
- Ah, catalog pose in panda shirt
- Looking all noir and shit! Good on ya.
- The “Blossom Shake of Shame” all over the thing. Sorry, blanket.
- Clutching it like it’s my damn baby blanket…Blinky? Is that you?
- Wearing glasses for absolutely no reason.
- It looks like I’m dancing! Maybe I was.
- Getting better at the posing thing.
